Who started a build

Added by Steve G 4 months ago

Hi,

I'm new to CC.NET. I've got hopefully a very straight forward question. Is it possible to see which user triggered the build.

Many thanks,
Steve

The log file for each build contains the condition(s) that triggered the build. Here's an example:

<request source="DEV1" buildCondition="ForceBuild">t.higgins triggered a build (ForceBuild) from DEV1</request>

If your CC.NET server is on a Windows machine, the log files are usually located in:
c:\Program Files (x86)\CruiseControl.NET\server\xyz\Artifacts\buildlogs
where xyz is the project name.

You can also access the build logs from code, via the CC.NET API. Here is a good starting point: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3467364/is-there-an-api-for-cruise-control-net
