Message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Added by ANTONIO JOSE RODRIGUES SILVA about 3 years ago

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:21234"

After install, in the page "...CCNET/ViewFarmReport.aspx" , in
Server Local and Url tcp://localhost:21234/CruiseManager.rem, the above message was showed.

How to fix it ?

I tried in 3 machines, with windows 8.1, windows 2008 r2 and windows 2012.

Thanks for all.

Hallo,

I get this error as well on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. I guess it has got to do with the firewall blocking the port.

Main problem for me is, that I am not well trained with IIS and I didn't find a step by step introduction on how to install and configure IIS on a Win 2008 r2 for use of Cruisecontrol.net.

It's a pity

Hallo,

just found out, what the reason was and "solved" it. The message is misleading. "actively refused it 127.0.0.1..." is not right. There is nothing active refusing. In my case just the ccnet service was not running, because I did the test direct after installing. The windows service installs as a manual service and was not started.

So I guess in your case it is also a not started service or, perhaps, a firewall blocking that network connection.
